Ameresco’s Janesville Landfill Gas-to-Energy Plant is Operational

Framingham, MA – Ameresco, most recently recognized for their unprecedented achievements in the landfill gas industry by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as their Industry Partner of the Year, is pleased to announce that commercial operation has begun for its most recent landfill gas to energy plant located in Janesville, Wisconsin.

The 3 MW Janesville landfill gas power plant has completed its performance testing and will deliver the output to Wisconsin Power and Light Co. (a subsidiary of Alliant Energy). Ameresco designed, owns and operates this renewable energy plant.
