Waste 360 – Closed Glen Burnie Landfill to Become Solar Energy Project

Maryland’s Anne Arundel County is making plans to turn the closed Glen Burnie Landfill into a renewable energy project.

The country is leasing about 20 acres to Massachusetts-based Ameresco, who will build the facility. The project is expected to bring in $3 million for the county over the next 25 years.
