Smart Meter Project Optimizes Water Infrastructure and Enhances Transparency for County Residents

Summary

Woodlands Water, Montgomery County’s management agency for its municipal utility districts (MUDs), selected Ameresco to provide a “turnkey” solution to identify, design, install and monitor a comprehensive water efficiency program. Over approximately 18 months, Ameresco installed more than 33,900 smart water meters across the Woodlands service area, which seamlessly integrated water consumption data into customers’ existing WaterSmart portals, providing greater transparency
