Summary

The City of Conroe partnered with Ameresco for a turnkey fixed-based Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system that includes installation of 18 new Gateways, replacement of 22,411 water meters with new smart meters, and set up of a new interactive customer portal. Ameresco tested a sample of meters, conducted field surveys, and evaluated the financial payback of meter replacements. The new AMI system, which has a guaranteed read rate of 96.5%, will provide the City with increased meter accuracy and, in turn, increased revenue
