The State of North Carolina has $5B+ in deferred maintenance needs across government facilities (K-12, municipality, state government, & higher education). Meanwhile, there are existing programs and legislation designed to help fund facility improvements without burdening taxpayers or increasing allotments. In addition, these improvements can fund healthier buildings for occupants and reduce carbon emissions.
