Mr. Maltezos is President of Central & Western USA, Canada Regions of Ameresco, a leading energy solutions provider, supporting the company’s vision to energize a more sustainable world by helping customers decarbonize to net zero and build energy resiliency while leveraging smart, connected technologies. He is responsible for developing and executing the company’s growth strategies in these regions, overseeing operations across more than 30 states and Canada.

Mr. Maltezos has been a senior executive with Ameresco since 2004, having joined the company through the acquisition of Exelon’s energy savings performance contracting business, where he served as vice president and general manager. His focus on Ameresco’s core efficiency solutions, on which the company was founded, has been instrumental in driving the company’s success and growth. Mr. Maltezos also leads the expansion of our Smart Solutions portfolio, driving innovation in building controls, efficiency initiatives, and advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) offerings for our customers.

With nearly 35 years of industry experience, Mr. Maltezos has an expert track record across a diverse range of roles in engineering, management, and executive positions. His extensive background encompasses energy savings performance contracting, energy services, distributed generation, mechanical contracting, and utility businesses. Known for his practical and collaborative approach, Mr. Maltezos effectively applies his technical expertise, business acumen, and interpersonal skills to drive innovation and achieve outstanding results. His ability to integrate these skills has been pivotal in advancing Ameresco’s mission and fostering a culture of excellence within the organization.

Mr. Maltezos earned an M.B.A. degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
