White House’s Sutley to Join Mayor Bower at Miami Beach Renewable Energy Project

Tour Will Highlight the Obama Administration’s Energy Strategy
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Nancy Sutley, President Obama’s principal environmental advisor and Chair of the White House Council on Environmental Quality, will join Miami Beach Mayor Matti Herrera Bower to tour a renewable energy project built as part of a partnership between the City and clean energy provider Ameresco, Inc., this Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Through this partnership, the City of Miami Beach, a leader in urban environmental management, has reinvested annual savings of $1.2 million back into infrastructure improvements, and is on target to reduce annual carbon emissions equal to removing 1,321 cars off the road or powering more than 1,000 average size homes. The tour will highlight President Obama’s all-of-the-above energy strategy that includes doubling down on clean energy to create American jobs, reduce pollution and grow these industries in the U.S.
