Renewables Now – Ameresco to build 1.99-MW solar farm on old New Hampshire landfill

US cleantech integrator Ameresco Inc (NYSE:AMRC) on Monday broke ground at a former sanitary landfill site in the city of Somersworth, New Hampshire, to mark the launch of a 1.992-MWac/2.577-MWdc solar project. Fully approved by the US Environmental Protecion Agency and the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, it is the first solar project in the state to repurpose an old landfill.
