Peter Christakis

Mr. Christakis is Executive Vice President and General Manager, East Region for Ameresco, supporting the company’s mission to energize a more sustainable world by helping customers decarbonize to net zero and build energy resiliency while leveraging smart, connected technologies. He oversees the East Region, ensuring all aspects of engineering, construction and operations meet and exceed customer expectations.

With more than 28 years of experience in the energy industry, Mr. Christakis is responsible for project material purchasing, sub- contractor selection, contract negotiations and overseeing operational aspects of each project including energy conservation measure selection, project implementation costs, and energy savings analyses.

In his long-standing leadership at Ameresco, Mr. Christakis has managed nearly $1 billion in revenue generating projects that comprised complex energy performance contracts, solar installations, large scale infrastructure, and multi-discipline turnkey installations.

Mr. Christakis earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Northeastern University. He is a Certified Energy Manager, and holds the following licenses in multiple states: Master Electrician, Journeyman Electrician, Unlimited General Contractor, and Construction Supervisor.
