Ameresco Finishes $5.1M Cannon Mountain Project

Framingham energy services provider Ameresco completed a $5.1-million project at Cannon Mountain in New Hampshire, set to save the ski resort $386,000 annually.

The state of New Hampshire and Cannon Mountain contracted with Ameresco for the project last July. The completion of the project saw the installation of energy efficiency and conservation measures for the mountain’s snowmaking and energy-supply systems.

The project included the replacement of 388 existing energy intensive land-based air/water snow guns with tower-mounted low-energy snow guns. The new guns reduce the amount of compressed air needed. They’re also easier to move around the mountain as needed, according to a press release.
