Ms. DeBarros is Vice President of Government Multifamily Housing at Ameresco. She is responsible for contract negotiations and sales closures of energy efficiency projects in Federal and state owned or assisted multifamily housing properties. Ms. DeBarros has over twenty-five years of energy performance contracting experience in the multifamily public housing market, with over $500 million in projects closed at Ameresco.
Prior to joining Ameresco, Ms. DeBarros was Vice President of Citizens Conservation Services, overseeing the growth of utility demand side management programs as well as public housing energy performance contracts. She has also overseen policy consulting efforts with numerous utility, state, and national organizations. For nine years, Ms. DeBarros was the Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Communities and Development. She managed low-income energy and housing programs and policy development for the Secretary and the Governor of Massachusetts, including direct management of over $100 million in program funds.
Ms. DeBarros earned a Senior Executive Management Certificate in Government Programs at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, as well as and bachelor’s and two master degrees from Yale University.
