Traditional Microgrids primarily utilized natural gas and diesel fuel to run generators that create electricity. Fast forward to 2018\, and we see a new generation of Microgrids that now incorporate sustainable energy sources such as solar and wind. Next generation electrical distribution operating platforms and advanced storage systems with innovative network controls manage the myriad processes.
