Energy Savings Performance Contracting for Washington State

Ameresco is helping Washington K-12 schools, higher education, government, healthcare, commercial and other organizations reduce energy and water consumption through Energy Savings Performance Contracting (ESPC), a practical approach to reducing utility and operational costs that delivers needed upgrades even when capital is scarce.

With an Ameresco ESPC, long-term energy savings provide funding for upgrades that are needed now, including energy efficient lighting, control systems, HVAC equipment, central plants, renewable energy systems, water conservation, plumbing fixtures and other equipment. Through an ESPC, these projects are funded on a budget neutral basis and paid for with guaranteed savings that are measured and verified annually. It makes sense for our environment, and it makes sense for the bottom line.

About Ameresco in Washington State

Ameresco, Inc. (NYSE: AMRC) is a leading energy efficiency and renewable energy company that has developed deep connections with the people of Washington state through the successful completion of more than 150 ESPCs. One of a select group of firms pre-qualified by the State of Washington to provide ESPCs, Ameresco offers a vast knowledge of the energy and water conservation strategies and renewable energy technologies that are most effective in Washington’s climate.

Our system evaluation process provides in-depth monitoring and measurement of existing systems to establish an accurate energy-use baseline. Then our experienced engineering staff determines the best ways to improve lighting, HVAC and other systems for optimal energy efficiency and water conservation.

Based on this analysis, we develop recommendations and review them with our clients. Once a set of energy and water conservation measures is agreed to, we provide a guaranteed maximum cost to implement the measures, including a guarantee of the associated energy and water savings as well as the performance of the equipment we install. Finally, after the project is complete we continue to provide ongoing monitoring and verification of system performance and energy savings.

Where you see costs, we see opportunities.
