ENERGY STAR logoENERGY STAR® reporting provides a way for an organization to quantify how efficiently it is consuming energy compared with similar facilities. It can also provide valuable proof when promoting a company’s industry leadership in energy efficiency.

As an ENERGY STAR Partner, Ameresco works with clients to perform an energy audit that assesses how efficiently their facilities are running by comparing data from similar buildings nationwide, and then identifying the client facilities that need improvement. This data is uploaded and client ratings are made available online.

We help companies achieve top performance ratings across the many industries that ENERGY STAR has targeted, including government, healthcare, education, hospitality, entertainment, industrial, real estate, retail and small business. Working within the parameters of the ENERGY STAR Program, Ameresco sets performance goals, creates and implements action plans, assesses performance and progress and helps organizations to gain recognition with a favorable ENERGY STAR rating.

As one of the largest independent energy services companies (ESCO), Ameresco can objectively devise the right energy solutions with the right equipment for achieving a top ENERGY STAR rating, because we are not beholden to products from a sister or parent company.

ENERGY STAR Award presentation to officials from the Clarkstown Central School District

Through a series of upgrades, retrofits and new technologies, the Clarkstown Central School District, encompassing 17 buildings and 1.5 million square feet of space, reduced its carbon emissions and boosted the EPA score of its facilities from 60 to 75. Thirteen of the district's schools now qualify for ENERGY STAR certification, and the use of an energy savings performance contract (ESPC) meant that there was no increase in school fees or local taxes to pay for the upgrades.
