Biography

Mr. Gates is Vice President – Sales and Marketing for Ameresco Solar. He has over 15 years of experience in the solar industry. He currently supervises and directs all sales and marketing efforts for Ameresco Solar. His daily responsibilities include pricing, design, presentation, and follow-up.

During his time in the solar industry, Mr. Gates has helped deliver solutions to customers all over the world. Segments served include utilities, oil and gas, telecommunications, agriculture, and government. Markets served have included both grid connect and off grid applications.

Mr. Gates has performed system electrical layout, array assembly, and commissioning of solar photovoltaic projects. He has designed and installed projects such as five solar water pump systems throughout a wildlife refuge to improve access to water.

Mr. Gates earned a B.S. degree from Texas A&M University.
