Biography

Mr. Tripathi is the Vice President responsible for the successful strategic development and implementation of Ameresco’s business plan in the Western U.S.

Mr. Tripathi has 34 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry with the last 21 years focused on performance contracting and energy infrastructure outsourcing in the healthcare, educational and government market sectors. As an engineer, he has applied his considerable expertise to hundreds of design/build projects for a wide range of commercial, industrial, and institutional applications. As an executive, Mr. Tripathi has, in addition to managing energy service companies, had the responsibility for strategic planning and expanding and managing engineering, construction, and energy services organizations.

Prior to joining Ameresco, Mr. Tripathi was President of Sempra Energy Solutions International; an ESCO that he established in the UK with subsidiaries in Spain and Germany. Earlier he helped establish and grow CES/Way International eventually becoming President and CEO.

Mr. Tripathi earned a B.S.M.E. from the Indian Institute of Technology and a M.S.M.E from Clemson University. He is a member of ASHRAE, a member of the Association of Energy Engineers - and the 1999 recipient of their Energy Services Professional award. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Texas and a Certified Energy Manager.
