Shelley Cohen, a Senior Project Developer with Ameresco, was selected to participate in the White House Women’s Leadership Summit on Climate Change and Energy on Thursday, May 23.  Cohen is among 100 women leaders who will gather on May 23rd at the White House to join in a dialogue on the President’s climate and energy agenda, and to forge stronger collaboration going forward.  The day’s topics will include the science of climate change, communication about the climate and energy challenges, policy solutions, and activism in our workplaces, careers, and communities.  The event is jointly hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, the White House Council on Environmental Quality, the White House Council on Women and Girls, and the White House Office of Public Engagement.  Cohen recently served as Chair of the Greening Committee for the 2013 Green Inaugural Ball, and was trained as part of Vice President Gore Climate Leader Training.  Current Ameresco clients include the DC Government (DC DGS), the American Federation of Teachers, and the Delaware Department of Natural Resources.
