What funding is available?
Rebate Amounts
The program offers substantial rebates based on kW saved during the peak hours of 1-5PM in the summer and 5-7PM in the winter. Rebates vary by project type and are available up to $1000/kW and 100% of the project cost for ideally-suited projects. There are no caps on amount given per customer.
Ideally-suited projects which could receive $1000/kW include HID lighting retrofits at a retail facility that is open until 10PM. Relamping projects greater than 10kW are also great projects that often cover the cost of the lamps with the Ameresco rebate.
Availability
The funding is available on a first-come first-served basis, but is expected to be available until June 2011.
Funding Source
The program receives its funding through a charge on your utility bill, the Federally Mandated Congestion Charges – so take advantage of it!
