Carson Valley Inn
The Challenge
Carson Valley Inn (CVI) is located in Minden, Nevada, in the beautiful and historic Carson Valley. CVI has within its facility 153-hotel rooms and suites, plus 76 rooms at the Motor Lodge and 59-site RV resort, as well as 4 restaurants, a casino, a convention center, and a gas station.
Our Solution
The energy retrofit project completed at CVI included Lighting Retrofits and Enhancements, Trash Management System Installation, and Telephone System Enhancements.
Impact
By implementing these projects, CVI was able to greatly enhance their facility as well as reduce maintenance burden. The Lighting Retrofit and Enhancement ECM resulted in improved lighting quality, reduced electrical usage, and reduced maintenance associated with lamp and ballast replacements. The Trash Management System Installation resulted in a significant reduction in costs associated with pick-up of the facility’s compactor, by picking it up only when it is full, rather than on a scheduled basis. The Telephone System Enhancement project brought about a considerable reduction in costs of providing telephone service for staff and guests.
