Ameresco acquires plant & service contracts from Duke Energy Royal

Framingham, Mass – Ameresco, Inc. recently acquired a central heating and cooling water plant and a portfolio of energy services contracts from Duke Energy Royal LLC. Under the terms of the agreement, Ameresco now owns and operates a centralized plant that provides high-temperature hot water and chilled water services to The Boeing Company’s Space & Communications campus in Huntington Beach, California.

The transaction also includes the acquisition of certain contracts that establish Ameresco as the provider of extensive energy services to four IBM locations, Eastman Chemical’s manufacturing plant in Tennessee, and at the numerous Southern California office buildings of Carr America – one of America’s leading office workplace companies.
